Expand a home office or small business network with an unmanaged desktop switch featuring eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports. Each port automatically detects the connected device’s network speed and supports Auto MDI/MDX, allowing computers, printers, servers, routers, access points, and other Ethernet devices to connect through Cat3, Cat4, Cat5, or Cat6 UTP/STP cables. Plug-and-play installation requires no software or operating-system configuration. Store-and-forward switching, IEEE 802.3x flow control, and backpressure help manage network traffic. The switch provides a 16 Gbps switching fabric, an 11.9 million packets-per-second forwarding rate, 1.5 MB buffer memory, a 4,000-entry MAC address table with auto-learning and auto-aging, and jumbo frame support up to 9 kB. Full-duplex operation supports up to 2,000 Mbps per port when supported by connected equipment. Green Ethernet and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet technology monitor port activity and reduce power use when ports are inactive. The fanless black enclosure supports quiet operation and measures 4.92 x 2.09 x 0.87 inches. Power, link/activity, and speed LEDs show connection status. The switch operates from the included 5 VDC external power adapter and has maximum power consumption of 4 watts. Package contents include one switch, a power adapter, and a quick instruction guide.
